Artificial intelligence (AI) company PERSONA AI (CEO Jeong Bo-young and Yoo Seung-jae) announced on the 17th that it has attracted pre-IPO investment from Mirae Asset Venture Investment, KB Securities, and Korea Investment Partners. The size of the investment is undisclosed.

PERSONA AI's main business is an artificial intelligence contact center (AICC) that applies AI to a company's customer contact points. In recognition of its competitiveness in the high-potential AICC market, it has attracted investments from SK Telecom, Hyosung Ventures, and NAVER Cloud in succession over the past year. In addition, major securities firms have been secured as investment companies to strengthen the growth engine.

PERSONA AI will drive for an initial public offering (IPO) after completing its pre-IPO investment. In October last year, it completed an IPO representative contract with Samsung Securities. Based on the proven AI source technology, it is possible to commercialize various areas, and growth potential is expected. The fact that it has secured financial sectors such as KB Financial Group and Jeonbuk Bank as major customers is also receiving high marks.

We will also speed up the AICC business. The natural language generation and processing engine will be combined with technologies such as machine reading comprehension (MRC), speech synthesis (TTS), and vision AI to expand the range of services. Furthermore, we are making efforts to implement user-friendly services. It focuses on improving convenience and usability to minimize the inconvenience of customers who actually use AI services.

With this investment, the company plans to focus on expanding the AICC business and on-device AI R&D. Currently, PERSONA AI is providing AI semiconductors with its self-developed AI engine mounted on ultra-light semiconductors. By applying AI semiconductors to devices, it is possible to communicate with users without the cost of an internet connection or traffic. By leveraging the strengths of AI technology that facilitates natural conversations, the company plans to expand its influence to the on-device AI field in addition to AICC.

Yoo Seung-jae, CEO of PERSONA AI, said, "Since 2015, we have been steadily striving for AI R&D and focusing on original technologies to lead to meaningful results" and added, "We will continue to introduce AI that anyone can conveniently use in their daily lives, encompassing not only technology but also services."
