Selected as an innovative financial service designation company with robotteller technology
AI market is growing at a CAGR of 50%... “Leading Financial Innovation”
[Korea Insurance News = Reporter Lee Yeon-hoon] The Financial Services Commission has designated insurance solicitation through artificial intelligence (AI) as an 'innovative financial service'. As a result, Persona System, which has ‘AI Insurance Roboteller’ technology, has been selected as an innovative financial service designation company and is receiving a lot of attention from the insurance industry. In particular, Yoo Seung-jae, CEO of Persona System, drew attention by announcing a plan to use AI for insurance solicitation at the recently held ‘2019 Insurance Summer Association Conference’.
CEO Yoo said, “The artificial intelligence market is growing at an annual average rate of 50%. In the case of financial institutions, the number of employees will decrease by 35% by 2021, but digitalization will grow by 50%.”
In fact, many financial companies are reducing branches and employees by introducing AI into their work, and are pursuing financial product services without intermediaries. The fact that Kakao Bank surpassed the number of non-face-to-face subscribers of the five major banks within 7 days of its launch indicates that digitalization in the financial industry is already deepening considerably.
There are already many successful AI fintech cases abroad. In particular, CEO Yoo mentioned Zhongan Insurance, an online full-time insurance company jointly established by China's Alibaba and Tencent. Despite not having an offline branch, it has grown rapidly and now has 500 million cumulative customers and 8.2 billion products sold.”
CEO Yoo said, “Korea is lagging behind in many areas of AI, but has world-class technology in the field of conversation.” He said, “This is the golden age of conversational AI. We are already receiving business proposals from many companies, and we have also received business proposals from several leading insurance companies.”
Regarding insurance companies' interest in the persona system, CEO Yoo said, "There are many inconveniences and problems in the counseling process for financial products. Customers are often dissatisfied with the use of the service due to time restrictions. Conversely, from the perspective of financial companies, there are many factors that are difficult for the general public to understand due to the nature of financial products, so they spend a lot of time in counseling. On the other hand, Persona System's 'AI Insurance Roboteller' provides a service that allows direct conversation with customers anytime, anywhere, rather than using a button-type answer method. Being able to make calls while looking at the screen is a big plus,” he explained.
CEO Yoo said, “We are planning to create a more convenient unmanned window for customers by identifying age and gender with facial recognition technology. said.
